Print Adult Session 6B - Level II Color Theory: Making a Reduction Print (4 Weeks)

$285

with Heather Kahn-Pyatt

Calendar Nov 19, 2024 at 5:30 pm, runs for 4 weeks

This unique set of classes will provide an overview of the role of color in any visual medium, while using various printmaking methods as a practical and expressive means for exploration. Students will gain an understanding of how we see, perceive, interpret and manipulate color as artists.

Note: Color Theory is a set of 2 classes, each 4 weeks long. Each class can be taken independently and in any order.

"Color Theory: Explorations" will be an introduction to color theory and concepts, including looking at example images, discussion, and various hands-on exercises that cover the fundamentals of color theory. Participants will walk away with their exercises as reference to guide their own work.

"Color Theory: Reduction Print" will put theory into practice! Each participant will create a 4 color reduction print edition that will ultimately become a print exchange for all class members. Each participant will end up with one print from their own edition, and a print from each of the other class members.

This class is: Color Theory: Making a Reduction Print
