Students will make several miniature books with beaded spines. We will cut small pages and fold into signatures. Then a miniature case will be created by covering small boards with decorative paper and book cloth spines. Students will then make several beaded books. We will learn simple macrame using waxed linen thread adding beads in a variety of designs. Book pages will then be sewn and tied in with macrame weavings. Optionally, students can add a ribbon for hanging the book like an ornament. We'll break for lunch.

Welcome to the world of pottery! This class is designed for young children that are new to clay and working to develop their skills in hand-building. Students will create fun and unique projects in functional and sculptural forms. Children will learn to build strong, hollow pieces and will slip and paint their own work. Join us for these weekly classes where kids can get messy, learn about clay, and make new friends!

Bring imagination into form through basic clay techniques and creative problem-solving. Instructors will encourage students to try new things and make vibrant works of art. Students will slip and paint their own work.

Ages: 5 - 9

This class is Pay What You Can with a suggested price of $100.

Relief printing, block carving, ink, oh my! We are offering Youth classes to one of our new studio art forms - Printmaking! There will be instruction and hands-on assistance each week. Students will learn about the techniques of printmaking, engage with tools and materials, and design and print a plate. Come have some fun in our printmaking studio!

Holiday Open House 1-4pm. The Book Arts League will host a holiday printing open house. The event is free and open to all. We will be running the presses printing holiday cards and posters. We'll have a small table of books, prints, cards and gifts for holiday gifts! The Book Arts League will be there to wish you holiday cheer and tip a cup of hot cider with you!
