Groundworks Art Lab

This class can be on your own or it is a perfect date night! An introductory class where you will learn shop safety, fire management, tools and equipment, the appropriate use of the various parts of the anvil and you will spend some time forging, tapering, bending, scrolling and forming material. 

What to Wear in the Metals Studio?  You must dress safely and appropriately. Arrive for class in all-natural fiber clothing, long pants, and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair should be tied back and synthetic hair should be covered with all-natural fiber fabric.  Nylon, polyester, spandex, or other synthetics are not recommended around machines, equipment, or processes that can produce hot fragments, sparks, or flames. Please avoid synthetic blends, as 100% cotton is recommended. Layers are encouraged, as the studio can begin cool then become very hot. 

Please note: Date Night tickets are non-refundable. If you need to change or reschedule your reservation, please do so by 5:00pm on the Monday before your scheduled Date Night.  No transfers are allowed after 5:00pm on the Monday prior to your Date Night.
