Print Adult Session 5B - A Touch of Printmaking: Relief (1 - Week Class)

Have you always wanted to try printmaking, but didn't know where to start? This series of classes are ideal for those who have limited experience and want a taste of the varied and intricate art of printmaking. You can sign up for one or all 4 of these "hors d'oeuvre" classes.

There will be an instructor demo and hands-on assistance each week. Students will try introductory techniques for each of the following: relief, monotype, and intaglio. This will include carving, mixing and rolling ink, and making a successful print.

This class: Relief - learn how to make a simple relief block using speedycut. Ink is rolled onto the surface of the block, and then printed on the press.

These courses provide a great way to get a real sense of the art of printmaking, and to identify which direction to go next! Come have some fun in our new printmaking studio!

This class takes place at the new Groundworks Art Lab studio space at 3750 Canfield Street, Boulder, CO. 

Ages: 16+ 

All supplies and materials will be provided.
