Print Adult Session 6A - Exploring Patterns and Textures - (4 - Week Class)
with Melissa Pickering
$245
Explore patterns and textures by layering found objects into prints.
Learn the basics of monotype printmaking using plexiglass plates, applying ink and incorporating found objects.
This class is ideal for those who have limited experience with printmaking. A monotype is a print that typically starts with a blank surface and results in a unique one-of-a-kind print. In this class, we'll experiments with several methods, such as "painting" on the plate, inking and wiping away, adding found objects, and making simple stencils.
There will be a short instructor demo and hands-on assistance each week. Students will try introductory techniques, including making a collagraph plate, mixing and applying ink, and making a print using the press. Come have some fun in our new printmaking studio!
Ages: 16+
All supplies and materials will be provided.
Will be available to register on Wednesday, September 25 at 8:00am.
